What is Monkey Football Manager?
Monkey Football Manager is an online game where you attempt to manage a team of football playing monkeys. Forget the boring player statistics and slow pace of most football management games, and enter the world of Monkey Football where the pace is fast, and the rules are suited to an online game.
In MFM you can buy and sell players, challenge other teams to matches, compete in leagues and watch your team play. And as it's an online game you can create your own leagues to play against your friends.
Tactics are the real focus in Monkey Football, but not just your usual football tactics. Each player has a playing style, and it's the art of positioning your player's styles to take full advantage of your opponents weaknesses that makes Monkey Football a game of strategy rather than just about which team has the best players. If you want to be a great Monkey Football manager you'll need to adjust your squad before each match to get the best out of your players. -
Why Monkey Football?
There are many realistic online football management games available, but the rules and structure of real football weren't created for online games. Monkey Football isn't constricted by these rules.
In Monkey Football you can play in many leagues at once, players learn new skills fast, and you can do fun things like improve your player's performance by giving them bananas.
Oh, and because football playing monkeys are funny. -

How do I improve my team?
Your players will increase in skill as they play matches. After each match you can see how much experience they've gained by going to the match analysis screen and selecting the player you're interested in.
If you arrange regular matches your players will quickly increase their skill levels. The easiest way to do this is to join some leagues. Just make sure you don't tire your players as they'll lose health if they play too many matches per week.
You can also buy highly skilled players from the transfer list, but they come at a price. You can earn some money quickly by arranging training matches and beating each of the training teams. -
I've run out of bonuses - when do I get some more?
You get 5 of each bonus type every Friday. You can either use these up every week, or save them for an important match, up to a maximum of 20 of each type.

How to I earn more money?
You can win more money by beating other teams in matches or leagues.
You can challenge individual teams to a match from the fixtures screen. You can place a bet on the match, taking all the cash if you win. So only challenge teams that you think you can beat, otherwise you'll run out of cash fast.
You can also join leagues, paying a small fee to enter. If you finish the league in 1st place you'll win 3 times the entry fee, and if you finish 2nd you'll get your entry fee back.
A good way to make some quick cash when you're new to the game is to beat all the training teams, as you get increasingly large payouts for each team you beat. -
Why do my players have very low health?
Players lose a little health every time they play a match, but regain health naturally over time. If you play too many matches per week, they loose more health than they regain so it just gets lower and lower.
You should aim to find a good balance between overworking your players and ensuring they play regularly to gain experience. Players can usually take part in 2 or 3 matches per week without losing health in the long term.
However, there are other factors to consider when finding this balance. Players can loose a large amount of health if they're injured during a match, or if they're given beatings for losing a match. Players will also become more tired if they are busy during a match, for example if you only have a single striker and you pass to them often during the match he will lose more health than a goal keeper who doesn't have any goals to save. -
How can I improve my players health?
Players regain health naturally over time, so if they don't play too many matches during the week they'll regain health without any direct action.
If you want to help a player regain health quickly, give them bananas for the next match. If you don't have any bananas then the best alternative is to move the player into your reserves and rest them for a couple of weeks.
